Gender equality among Womentor companies remains high - despite COVID
Ambition and clear objectives bring results
One of several initiatives to address the gender imbalance in the industry is IT&Telecom companies change and leadership program Womentor, where the goal for companies participating in the program is to reach gender parity by 2025 (note: where no gender is less than 40%).
- We see that the companies that have the will and ambition to work in a structured way with goal management and follow-up of gender equality and inclusion are also the companies that succeed in implementing a concrete change and movement, says Ramm-Ericson.
Better than average gender equality in working conditions
The 10 Womentor companies that participated in the JÄMIX survey have a combined median score of 127, which is among the best of all industries measured the previous year (more than 370 Swedish companies and organizations in all industries).

The median value for the participating Womentor companies regarding the proportion of gender-equal occupational groups is 31%, compared to 18% for all companies in Swedish working life last year. This is also an increase from last year, when the figure for Womentor companies was 27%.
Higher proportion of women among Womentor companies
The overall share of women in the participating Womentor companies is also slightly higher, compared to the average among IT&Telecom companies 1,350 member companies in the sector; 31% women compared to 29%.
