"Welfare technology creates good conditions for our citizens"

We completely agree on that, me and Niklas Sundler who is Business Developer Executive at TeliaSonera, and who I have asked to tell you a little more about how he sees welfare technology.

Niklas has previously been IT Director of Region Skåne and is active in our Welfare Technology Arena - a forum where we at IT&Telekomföretagen bring together company representatives with decision-makers and strategists in ICT services for health and care with the aim of accelerating the use of IT services where they can really make a difference. Because while there is an awareness that we need to make these sectors more efficient to meet future health and care needs and the difficulties in recruiting staff, it has so far been difficult to really accelerate the use of IT services in health and care. Lots of good projects are being launched, but far too few lead to widespread use. Through Arena Välfärdsteknologi, among other things, we hope to create a greater understanding of the challenges we face and what can be done about them, and develop forms of cooperation between buyers and suppliers.
