Basic principles of business ethics

The purpose of our basic principles of business ethics is to provide TechSverige's members with guidelines for how employees, suppliers, customers and other stakeholders should be treated in a legal, fair and ethically acceptable manner. We, members of TechSverige, shall contribute to sustainable development and base our activities on existing international and national agreements and conventions as well as national laws and regulations.

Environment and climate

We will always be environmentally responsible, conserve natural resources and minimize our footprint, and we work to ensure that our suppliers do the same. We aim to ensure that our operations have as little impact on the environment as possible. We actively promote the environmental benefits of our products and services, thus contributing to our customers' sustainability efforts. We welcome and encourage initiatives from employees, customers and partners to achieve this goal.

Competition

We believe that free market competition is a precondition for growth and development. As a market player, we promote healthy competition and observe good marketing practices. Our information to customers and the market must always be clear in content and never be deliberately misleading or ambiguous. We follow TechSverige's competition law guidelines for cooperation within the industry .

Diversity

We offer equal employment opportunities to all individuals. We work to promote diversity and prevent any form of discrimination. Our tool is to have appropriate processes in place to detect and address any case of discrimination. Through active diversity work, we create opportunities to develop our employees, our organization and our business.

A good workplace

Our employees are important to us and we care about the individual's work situation, health, well-being and development. We reject all forms of harassment, both internally and in interaction with our surroundings. We will work with each employee to promote the conditions that create a balanced relationship between work and leisure.

Child labor

We do not tolerate child labor, or the use of forced or compulsory labor by any person. Children's right to education must not be hindered or jeopardized. We are aware that child labor exists and we have a long-term ambition to contribute to ensuring that no child is forced to work or be exploited for the economic benefit of another party. Each member company is responsible for ensuring that, to the maximum extent possible, child labor is not used by subcontractors.

Anti-corruption

We will contribute to a society where there is strong trust in business, entrepreneurship, the market economy and the rule of law. We work actively on anti-corruption. We strive to promote a high level of ethics in commercial relationships and counteract bribery, kickbacks and other forms of corruption that may affect our business relationships.

Privacy and security

We want to establish and maintain a high level of trust in our own business as well as in the industry as a whole. We therefore protect the privacy of users and consumers as well as the privacy of businesses and organizations when using our services and products. This means that we handle information and data about individuals, businesses and organizations with great care and work to prevent leaks and dissemination of sensitive information. Our data protection policy provides information on how we collect and use personal data.We work to raise general awareness of security issues by clarifying responsibilities between parties through contracts, laws, standards and agreements.

Intellectual property and other knowledge-based assets

We will comply with and respect applicable rules regarding intellectual property rights and other knowledge-based assets. This means that we will always respect the intellectual property rights of others and thus produce and deliver our products and/or services without unauthorized exploitation or infringement of the protected rights of others. We will also always respect others' knowledge-based assets such as data or trade secrets. We encourage innovation and continuous development with due regard to the rights of owners, developers and innovators.

The Code of Business Ethics was adopted by the Board of TechSverige in 2014 and revised in 2021.
