From crisis to war

Ukraine
For two years, we have been living in times of crisis, with a pandemic affecting people and businesses alike. Now we are waking up to a different kind of reality. Russia has attacked Ukraine and war has broken out in Europe.

First and foremost, this is a great tragedy that will cause great human suffering. My thoughts are of course with all the people on the ground who are already directly affected and who will be affected. At the same time, this is an extremely serious security situation that risks having far-reaching economic consequences. Russia's aggression will inevitably have a major impact on all companies doing business and trade with Ukraine and Russia. We know that Ukraine's importance as an exporter of IT services has grown significantly in recent years and that several Swedish companies in our industry have extensive operations in the country.

Together with the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise and Almega, we at TechSverige are now working to get an overview of the situation; what consequences - direct and indirect - will this have for the business community as a whole, for different industries and for individual member companies.

We as organizations are united in our condemnation of Russia's actions and are now working to be there to support and sustain our member companies.
