It should be emphasized at the outset that IT&Telecom companies support the report's objective of combating serious crime. We are keen for our member companies to assist the law enforcement authorities in their work. However, a central prerequisite is that this takes place within the framework of a system that is proportionate in relation to the interference that secret data reading (HDA) entails for the privacy of users and customers.
