Comments on the European Commission's proposal on spectrum management
Europe has traditionally been strong in mobile services. These require access to spectrum. For the future, additional airwaves will be needed, which the European Commission has outlined in a proposal. The proposal will now be discussed in the European Parliament, where Swedish MEP Gunnar Hökmark is responsible for the issue. Ahead of this, Hökmark has met with interested parties, including IT&Telecom companies, where views were submitted and discussed together with the major operators, Ericsson and PTS. Read their views here. Any further comments, preferably concrete proposals, can be sent to Gunnar Hökmark's assistant, Magnus Norman.
