IT Skills Council

The work of the IT Skills Council aims to ensure a good supply of digital excellence. This involves efforts to attract and train/further train both young people and professionals to the industry, and to match graduates, both native and foreign-born, with IT employers.

The IT Skills Council makes an important and fantastic contribution and drives important industry issues that benefit the whole of Sweden. For us as a company, it is important to have the opportunity to be involved in such a context to influence and for me personally, the issue of skills and gender equality are some of my favorite issues.

Members of the IT Skills Council:

Chair: Beatrice Silow, Chief Marketing Officer, Columbus Sweden.

Participating companies: Columbus, Ework Group, Opentech, Crow Collective, Randstad, Axis, Addnod Group, Sony, Digitala lyftet, Radar Group, The Upskill Company, Tobii, Kyndryl, 3ds, Aaareon, Ants Tech Recruiters, Atea, CGI, Crossworkers, Digitalent, ECIT, Emwia, Ericsson, Hogia, IBM, IFS, Lingio, Microsoft, Nexer Group, Otivr, Sigma IT, TietoEvry, Visma, Visolit and WirelessCar.

If the tech industry in Sweden does not succeed in attracting the individuals who can fill these roles, the great growth will slow down. I think there are issues that we can work on together as an industry, and partly influence each other but also those in power in politics and education to make decisions that allow us to solve the issue in the long term.
