IT&Telecom companies = the sector with the greatest recruitment needs

In the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise's recruitment survey, published today, IT & telecom companies stand out as the industry with the greatest recruitment needs. 85% of IT companies say they have tried to recruit in recent months, which is the highest among 20 comparable industries. Media companies are next at 68%, with the average at 50%. This is also a significant increase since the last survey in 2010, when the corresponding figure for IT&Telecom companies was 58%.

Of the IT&T companies that reported difficulties in recruiting, 53% said that recruitment problems had prevented planned expansion, compared with 37% for all sectors.

IT&T companies also stand out in terms of the level of education of those sought, with 72% citing higher education as a requirement compared to 33% across the business sector.
