Womentor 6.0 concludes: Five deathbed regrets
Womentor concluded its sixth year yesterday, Tuesday, with a full-day seminar at Näringslivets hus. 35 mentor-adept pairs from 23 companies received diplomas and gifts for their solid one-year effort in the name of IT gender equality.
The last presenter of the day, priest and inspirational speaker Lisbeth Carlborg, got the biggest cheer. As self-deprecating as she was funny, she made us all feel that we are actually good enough as we are, despite everything. Her best tidbit was the study from England she referred to, where a hospice nurse documented the things the dying most regretted during their lives. Too little eroticism? Hardly. Read and ponder:
1. that I have lived my life based on myself and not on what others want for me.
2. that I haven't worked much.
3. that I had more courage to express my feelings.
4. that I have been in contact with my old friends
5. that I allowed myself to be happier
