Integration: Not always 100% optimism...
At the end of September, IT&Telekomföretagen, together with Sigma IT Consulting, Ants and Kattis, organized a matching meeting between fifteen asylum seekers with IT and telecom backgrounds and as many company representatives. Our survey evaluation, with 11 responding asylum seekers, showed that nine of them had follow-up contacts with employers (and where we know that at least four were employed). When asked if they were optimistic about getting a job, the answer was unequivocal, see chart below.

The fact that there are still some practical challenges for both employers and candidates, in the form of cooperation with authorities, coordination numbers, switching from asylum to labor immigration, accommodation, driving licenses, etc. is another story. But let's not get bogged down on this on a Friday afternoon...
