Work with us - we are looking for two new colleagues

We who work at IT&Telekomföretagen are a relatively small group with varying backgrounds, skills and experience. Together, we have the task of creating the best possible conditions for Swedish IT and telecom companies, and the ambition to be a relevant and clear voice for the entire industry - not least when it comes to driving and facilitating the digitization of Sweden.

IT&Telecom companies are looking for a press officer

Your mission

Your mission is to become the communication engine of IT&Telecom companies. This includes driving, nurturing and strengthening the external image of IT&Telekomföretagen. Your role will entail responsibility for press contacts, press service and supporting the organization in public contexts. As Press Officer, you will be responsible for our media image, with the aim of promoting all of our positions. An important part of the role is therefore to provide strategic and practical support to the Association Director and other experts in the office. In addition to the strategic elements of the role, there are also a lot of operational tasks such as coaching spokespersons, writing press releases and debate articles, and designing messages to be put out on news and debate sites. In short, driving the debate. You will also be involved in some communication projects such as developing a brand policy, making presentations, managing our press room and managing media coverage.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with several years of experience working as a press manager, press officer or press secretary. Preferably within a larger, politically driven organization with opinion and advocacy work in focus. An academic degree in media and/or communication studies or political science and very good oral and written communication skills are desirable. You are used to acting as a consultative support to management and decision-makers on press issues and to working with experts in an expert organization. As the role involves a wide range of internal and media contacts, you will need to be able to collaborate and make new contacts both internally and externally. We are looking for people who are creative, proactive, analytical, self-motivated and driven and have a very high level of service, even when the pace is high. In addition, experience of active presence in digital media is a requirement. You have a solid understanding and experience of how media work in order to prioritize and manage complex communication issues and news flows with short lead times. You are confident in assessing which media channels are most appropriate to use at different times and you understand our mission and responsibilities. You are a sharp writer who communicates fluently in both Swedish and English.

The position is full-time and based at Sturegatan 11 in Stockholm.
