Shortage of programmers? Get inspired by Ciceronen Analytics, contact India directly!
As an inspiration for more companies to dare to invest in foreign-born staff, we have allowed Anders Heimersson at member company Ciceronen to share his positive experiences. Read the text below, get inspired and get in touch!
Ciceronen Analytics is a member of IT&Telekomföretagen and also the non-profit association Swedsoft. Swedsoft is an association whose purpose is to increase Swedish competitiveness through knowledge exchange between academia, industry and the public sector. Almost every time we meet at Swedsoft, we talk about the lack of talented IT architects and programmers. So a few months ago, I raised the issue with our talented Indian IT architect. He and I, together with his two closest friends, ended up placing a programming order in India, which we have now evaluated after delivery and have been very pleased with. We had an app developed for our scheduling service, Smartplanner. The result was great, and now we are helping both Umeå University and the sports movement to digitize some of their needs. Several people have asked for help, and I wonder why others don't approach Indian programming and development companies themselves. When I ask, the answers suggest a lack of client skills, culture clashes, and a preference for having both in-house staff and outsourced consultants in the office. Our little experience of working with Indians so far is very positive, but if we had not had our Indian employees, we would probably never have dared.
We are now in the process of creating a Swedish company that includes client expertise, cultural knowledge, quality assurance and delivery security. If you have your own experience of similar collaborations or questions about the project, please contact us and we will be happy to share our knowledge.
