Association Director to IT&Telecom companies

IT&Telekomföretagen is looking for an Association Director. The assignment as Director of the Association means driving important issues to strengthen and develop the industry and create the best possible conditions for a world-class Swedish IT and telecom industry. This is done, among other things, by ensuring that the issue of digitization is prioritized on the political agenda, clarifying the benefits and supporting the use of digital services and products, but also working to influence laws and regulations in order to make it easier for our members to run and develop companies. In addition to opinion formation, contract and labor market issues are key areas of responsibility in this exciting mission from the Board and member companies.

Association Director to IT&Telecom companies

IT&Telekomföretagen is part of Almega, and is a trade and employers' organization for the IT and telecom sector. IT&Telekomföretagen represents more than 1,300 member companies that together have almost 100,000 employees. The organization's mission is to promote the interests of the IT&Telecom sector, influence laws and regulations in order to make it easier for members to run and develop their businesses. IT&Telekomföretagen also offers competitive member services in areas such as labor law and other employer-related areas.

Almega consists of seven unions: Kompetensföretagen, IT&Telekomföretagen, Almega Samhallsförbundet, Almega Tjänsteförbunden, Almega Tjänsteföretagen, Medieföretagen and Vårdföretagarna and is part of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise. Almega's mission is clear - to create the best conditions for service companies, employers and the service sector in Sweden. This is done by negotiating around 160 of the most modern collective agreements on the labor market. This is also done by influencing and informing politicians, the general public and decision-makers about the most important issues for Almega's member companies. In addition, member companies are assisted with support, inspiration, advice and training in everything that concerns their role as employers.

The mission:

IT&Telekomföretagen, in collaboration with Navigio, is now looking for an Association Director at the head office in Stockholm. As Association Director, you will take the lead and work to ensure that IT&Telekomföretagen is a strong, clear and obvious player in the digitizing transformation of our entire society, including the labor market, which is currently underway.

As the association's director, you, together with the employees at the IT&Telecom companies' office, have the task of leading, running and developing the activities of the IT&Telecom companies, both in terms of industry policy and employer activities.

You are responsible for following up and managing the union's affairs in accordance with the guidelines and instructions issued by the union's board. The Association Director reports to the Association Board and to the CEO of Almega.

You represent the association externally and work very proactively with lobbying and opinion-forming to improve the conditions and conditions for IT&Telekomföretagen's member companies. In your role, you are responsible for ensuring that the association develops and offers a valuable membership and that the association attracts new members. You will be the rapporteur at IT&Telecom companies' board meetings.

You are an appreciated leader who thrives on personnel responsibility and has overall personnel responsibility for IT&Telecom companies. You will be part of Almega's management team and actively participate in Almega's joint development projects and strategy work.

Who are you?

You have an understanding of the everyday life of member companies and their different customers, in an industry that is highly business-driven and innovative. As a person, you are driven by a passionate interest and commitment to the industry and its development. You are committed, have a keen interest in business and are also energetic and driven. We look for you to have experience in a senior position from a company in the IT or telecom industry, or from leading work in a company / organization related to this sector. You have a genuine interest in working with social issues and a great ability to build relationships within the business community as well as with politicians, government officials, trade union counterparts and representatives of other interest organizations and associations.

For this role, you are required to have a very good command of spoken and written English. Your background is academic or equivalent.

You have a strong customer focus and the ability to manage multiple interests. Networking at all levels is of great importance and you are an experienced and inspiring speaker in different contexts. You have experience and knowledge of dealing with the media.
