New collective agreements for telecom companies

IT&Telekomföretagen within Almega has today signed new collective agreements for telecom companies with the trade unions Akavia, Ledarna, SEKO, Sveriges Ingenjörer and Unionen. The new agreements extend over 29 months and the total cost framework of 5.4 percent includes both wage increases and increased pension provisions.

- "The goal for both parties has always been to reach a consensus. After constructive negotiations, we have now secured agreements that are within the mark, i.e. the framework agreed by the social partners," says Johan Mann, Head of Negotiations for IT&Telecom companies within Almega.

The contracts are for 29 months and run from November 1, 2020 to March 31, 2023.

The agreements reached with Unionen and the two academic unions Akavia and Sveriges Ingenjörer entail wage increases of 2.9 percent from November 1, 2020 and 1.8 percent from April 1, 2022. Increased provisions for Flexpension will also be made by 0.3 percent from November 1, 2020 and 0.4 percent from April 1, 2022.

The agreement reached with Ledarna is a so-called dialog agreement where salary formation takes place locally based on the development of the business and the individual employee. Increased provisions for Flexpension will be made by 0.3% from November 1, 2020 and 0.4% from April 1, 2022.

The telecom agreement with SEKO entails salary increases of 2.7% from November 1, 2020 and 2.0% from April 1, 2022. Also under this agreement, there are also increased provisions for Flexpension of 0.3% from November 1, 2020 and 0.4% from April 1, 2022.

- "A long-term approach is a prerequisite for our member companies to remain competitive in a rapidly changing labor market. Therefore, it is very positive that we have reached a collective agreement that extends over several years," says Åsa Zetterberg, Director of IT&Telecom within Almega.

The agreements cover around 150 companies with almost 20 000 employees in the telecoms sector.

Almega strives for the best conditions for both entrepreneurs and employees. Offering attractive conditions is crucial to the success of service companies. Together we create a good labor market: during the contract negotiations, but above all every day at the workplaces in conversations between entrepreneurs and employees. In the 2020 round of collective bargaining, Almega will sign a total of 130 agreements, the most of any employer organization.
