Two new industry policy experts to IT&Telecom companies

IT&Telecom companies within Almega have hired Fredrik Sand and Ana Andric as new industry policy experts. Their focus areas will be security, data-driven innovation and internet-related policy issues, as well as skills, inclusion and attractiveness of the industry.

Fredrik Sand started his career as an IT consultant at the then WM-data. After a couple of years in the industry, he moved on to work with IT policy at the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation. He has also worked for the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise as a higher education policy expert and has been active in the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce as responsible for issues such as innovation and digitization.

-Digitization has moved up a gear. This means great opportunities, but also challenges. We need the right conditions for the industry and Sweden to continue to develop. IT&Telecom companies play a central role in this work. I hope to be able to contribute with experience from both digitalization issues and broader business issues," says Fredrik Sand.

Ana Andric has worked for over 10 years with issues related to skills supply, both nationally and internationally. She comes from a role as an investigator at SACO where she worked with higher education transition and skills development as well as labor market policy. Ana also has a background from the Swedish Higher Vocational Education Authority where she in various roles has worked with needs analysis as well as follow-up and evaluation of higher vocational education as a form of education. In her previous roles, she has worked in various ways with the tech industry's skills shortage.

-"The lack of skills is the biggest obstacle to growth in the tech industry. In my role as an industrial policy expert at IT&Telecomföretagen, my ambition is to strengthen the industry's ability to meet its skills needs. It feels very exciting and meaningful to work strategically with skills supply in an industry that plays a central role in Sweden's growth," says Ana Andric.

-"I am very pleased that we have managed to recruit these two driven forces who are well acquainted with the industry and our important common issues. With their broad experience and contact network in the tech industry, politics, academia and public organizations, we at IT&Telekomföretagen strengthen our ability to create value for our member companies, contribute to a world-leading tech sector and a sustainable digitization of Sweden," says Åsa Zetterberg, Director of IT&Telekomföretagen.

Ana and Fredrik will start their positions in September and October.
