- I am the head of industrial policy at TechSverige.
What are the most important industrial policy issues that TechSverige is working on right now?
- Digitization is the greatest societal transformation of our time. We need to get digitization on the political agenda in order to seriously achieve a digital powerhouse and in Sweden take advantage of the opportunities of digitization. Digitization is a shift with a major impact on all industries, the economy, jobs and welfare. We want TechSweden to take the lead here.
- A concerted effort on digitization is needed to create jobs, secure welfare and for climate adaptation, but also to maintain and develop Swedish competitiveness. A leading tech sector is an essential success factor for a strong digitalizing nation.
- Right now, we need a stronger and clearer political will and leadership for a digitally leading Sweden. The digital infrastructure is a fundamental pillar of society and our work, where the requirements for accessibility, robustness and security have also been raised significantly. TechSverige is also a strong driver of the need to secure digital skills requirements, where there is currently a major shortage. Digitization must also be consistently seen as a prerequisite and enabler for meeting the challenges of welfare and for sustainable development.
What is the best thing about working at TechSverige?
- Digitalization is one of the greatest opportunities of our time and an area where Sweden and Swedish companies should be world leaders. In my role as head of industrial policy for TechSverige, I have the opportunity to contribute to actively shaping digital development.
