Ulrika Lindstrand: 'It's important to highlight the industry to inspire more people to choose tech'

How do you feel about the jury assignment in Tech Awards Sweden?
I am very happy that I have been entrusted to sit on the jury and look forward to reading the nominations!

How do you see the role and contribution of the tech industry to society at large today?
The tech industry is a large and important sector for Sweden to be strong and competitive, a prerequisite for many other industries to function.

How do you see the skills shortage in tech?
"It's important for companies to be one step ahead and analyze what skills they will need in the longer term, so that they can develop their existing employees in time, but also plan for what skills they need to bring in in the form of new employees. Of course, it is also important to be an attractive employer and promote the industry, not least to inspire more young people to choose that path during and after their studies.

The Skills of the Year Award, is one of five award categories in the Tech Awards, which rewards actors behind solutions and efforts that strengthen the entire tech sector's access to skills.
