Huawei - Digital inclusion and smarter solar through innovation and collaboration
Together with partner organizations such as UNESCO and Close the Gap, Huawei is working to ensure that everyone has access to high-quality education, for example by improving coverage and connectivity in rural areas. We also aim to increase people's digital skills to create better conditions for both more equal education and individual career development. In our overall TECH4ALL initiative, we use a so-called DigiTruck - a mobile container we converted into a digital classroom and deployed in areas around the world where digital skills have been assessed as particularly low. In total, our DigiTruck has provided more than 38 000 hours of training in East Africa and Europe.

Nature conservation efforts using innovative technologies

Huawei works with several environmental organizations to preserve our natural environment and biodiversity. For example, through innovative solutions, we are involved in a range of projects that aim to protect forests from illegal logging, promote biodiversity, and contribute to a better understanding of how human activity affects our oceans. In collaboration with WWF in Italy, we have developed a device that uses AI technology to identify anomalous sounds in a forest area and automatically inform park rangers, and in Norway, together with local partners, we have developed an AI solution to screen invasive salmon from waterways.
