Three questions for Sofia Gerstenfeld
Hello there Sofia Gerstenfeld, CEO of Visma Enterprises and member of the board of TechSverige.
What is the situation at Visma Enterprise?
- We're in a good place, thanks. We have the privilege of working with business-critical solutions such as payroll systems and scheduling and staffing systems, which allows us to cope well even in slightly more difficult times.
From January 1, 2025, TechSveriges will be independent of Almega. How will we then be able to deliver increased member benefits to our member companies?
- As an independent organization, we can focus even more on our member companies and on the issues that our members and the tech industry think are most important. There is often a difference in what the different unions and member companies within Almega think today. Being able to have full focus on our members' challenges and opportunities and to cooperate and link arms with other unions and organizations where and when it is appropriate, will only increase our influence and make us stronger.
- As for the employer service - which we will run in-house from 1 January 2025 - I am convinced that it will benefit from being specialized and niched based on the specific needs and wishes of the tech industry. We also want to take even more responsibility for our sector's role and part in the Swedish model and will continue to work to ensure that more tech companies understand the value of collective agreements. As an individual actor, we can make it more attractive because we can then pursue issues that are important for our particular industry.
How is the tech industry in the Skåne region?
- It is doing well: Since 2020, regional employment in tech has increased by 19% in Skåne, which is the third highest in Sweden.
