They will name the AI Swede of the Year 2024 

The AI Swede of the Year 2024 will be announced this fall. Today, the jury that will select the winner is presented. The jury consists of carefully selected members with expertise in digitization and AI from business, academia and the public sector.

The jury includes Ather Gattami, researcher, entrepreneur and host of the AI Podcast; 

- With the rapid development of AI and the increased focus on its opportunities and challenges, it is more important than ever to highlight individuals who are driving progress and creating exemplary examples in AI in Sweden. I am really looking forward to being part of the process of identifying and rewarding these pioneers.

The jury is chaired by Åsa Zetterberg, Director of TechSverige:

- The use of and investment in AI and other new technologies is central to Sweden's ability to keep pace with the rest of the world and ensure our competitiveness and innovative capacity. With the AI Swede of the Year, we want to show the possibilities and recognize the individuals whose work contributes to responsible and valuable AI development.

Nominations for the prize are accepted at aretsaisvensk.se and the winner will be announced in the fall of 2024.

About the AI Swede of the Year:

The AI Swede of the Year is a prize awarded by TechSverige. The award goes to a person who has contributed to the development and visibility of Swedish AI. This is the fifth year in a row that the prize is awarded and last year's winner was Max Gordon, associate professor and senior physician at Danderyd Hospital.
