TechSverige on site during Folk och Försvar in Sälen

Next week, TechSverige will take part in the Swedish National Conference on Security and Defense in Sälen. Åsa Zetterberg, CEO of TechSverige, will take the stage in a discussion on how innovation can strengthen Sweden's security and resilience in a time of increased threats and technological opportunities.

- New technical solutions and the tech industry are playing an increasingly important role in Sweden's overall defense and cybersecurity. Many of our member companies are already exposed to the gray zone war. They protect critical infrastructure and services, develop solutions and invest in security to meet threats from both criminal actors and foreign powers," says Åsa Zetterberg, CEO of TechSverige.

We must safeguard the power of innovation and entrepreneurship, not only as an engine for technological development but as a prerequisite for Sweden's security and competitiveness in a time of great uncertainty and a global tech race. Sweden has much to gain and great potential to be a leader in the digital era and in defense and security tech. With our access to advanced knowledge and technology, combined with our strong tradition of innovation and entrepreneurship, we can create and take advantage of solutions that strengthen both our civil and military defense.

Security, innovation and digitalization must go hand in hand so that the digital society itself does not become a vulnerability. Cyber threats to digital infrastructure and digital services are ever-present, requiring both increased competence and developed cooperation between the public sector, defense, academia, business and civil society.

- Advanced technologies, electronic communications and digital solutions are central to both civil and military defense. We look forward to participating and contributing to discussions on how we can strengthen society's preparedness and resilience together," says Åsa Zetterberg.
