Who will be the AI Swede of the Year 2025? Get inspired by last year's winner Agnes Stenbom
Agnes Stenbom was named AI Swede of the Year 2024 by TechSverige. She was awarded for her groundbreaking work in showing how AI can shape the future of media in a way that strengthens both democracy and inclusion.

What has the AI Swede of the Year award meant to you and your work?
Being named AI Swede of the Year was both honoring and empowering! The award has given visibility to the issues I am passionate about, and also opened new doors to exciting collaborations and conversations.
How do you see AI development in Sweden in your field?
When it comes to AI in journalism, I see a great deal of curiosity and willingness to test new solutions. At the same time, there are challenges. Resources are often limited and risk appetite (often rightly) low at a time when mis- and disinformation is spreading rapidly. Questions about AI in journalism today are less about the practical potential of the technology, but rather touch on larger themes related to trusted institutions and knowledge.
