TechSweden's article seriesPeople in Techfocuses on individuals with HR roles in member companies. In this article, we meet Tina Johansson, HR and payroll specialist at XLENT Consulting Group, an organization with operations in both Sweden and Norway. From her workplace at XLENT's Sundsvall office, she is responsible for 24 Swedish and seven Norwegian operating companies and provides support to the local units in personnel-related matters.
"I have a group-wide role in payroll and HR and provide support to our local units in various personnel-related matters. In this role, I also serve as a coordinating resource in both payroll and HR work," says Tina Johansson.
Her area of responsibility includes issues relating to payroll, pensions, travel expenses, and year-end reconciliations. The current focus is on implementing and managing the pay transparency directives, communication with the business, and work environment issues. These areas are central to ensuring both compliance and a well-functioning organization in a group that continues to grow.
When Tina Johansson describes her approach to leadership, she emphasizes the importance of seeing the individual behind the role.
"Being present, listening, and creating a safe environment where it's okay to ask questions and make mistakes."
She also emphasizes clarity, open communication, and responsibility as important parts of effective leadership, as well as showing trust and providing support when needed.
"I believe in leadership that takes responsibility, encourages participation, and helps others grow."
According to Tina, the corporate culture at XLENT is characterized by active efforts to create a sense of belonging and commitment. Employees are offered wellness subsidies and joint sports initiatives as a way to strengthen community and well-being.
– To create a sense of belonging, it is important for us to socialize outside of work-related meetings.
When it comes to membership in TechSverige, Tina Johansson sees clear operational benefits.
– Above all, it's the networking meetings and the help we as member companies receive in labor law issues.
