Strong engagement when workplace drug use is on the agenda
We're finally back in action!
Recently, People in Tech gathered from across the country for the first networking event of the year. The theme of the event wasdrugs in the workplace—responsibility, policies, and labor law— a topic that is raising more and more questions among employers.
Among other things, the discussion covered employers’ responsibilities in cases of suspected drug use, the relevant labor law framework, and how organizations can act in a legally sound and professional manner. The need for clear policies, procedures, and drug testing as a tool was also highlighted.
A big thank you to everyone who participated and shared their insightful perspectives and experiences. We look forward to more rewarding meetings with People in Tech in 2026.
The next People in Tech event will focus on background checks in the recruitment process. The events will take place in April and May.
