Podcast: A packed seminar with the Secretary of Defense

In this episode of the Techsäkra Sverige podcast, we take you to the Stockholm Tech Show at Kistamässan and a packed seminar titled“Techsäkra Sverige—Tech for Security, Preparedness, and Resilience.”

At a time when cyber threats, geopolitical tensions, and rapid technological advancements are changing the landscape for both society and the business sector, one question takes center stage: How can technology contribute to a safer, more resilient, and robust Sweden?

During the seminar, the 2026 Security Award of the Year was presented—a new award from TechSverige and SME-D that recognizes organizations that strengthen Sweden’s security through innovation, collaboration, and accountability. This year’s winner is Scaleout Systems, and its founder and CEO, Andreas Hellander, was on hand to accept the award.

This was followed by a discussion with leading figures from the business community and the defense and security sectors on how to strengthen Sweden’s digital resilience in an era of growing threats. The discussion covered everything from cybersecurity and the protection of critical infrastructure to emergency preparedness, total defense, and how new technology can contribute to greater safety and security.

Participants include Minister of Defense Pål Jonson; John Billow, Director of the National Cybersecurity Center; Petra Klein, Chief Security Officer at Swedbank; Andreas Hellander, winner of the Security Award of the Year; and moderator Åsa Zetterberg, CEO of TechSverige.
