The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise invites you to a book launch on Ireland’s economic resurgence, followed by a panel discussion and reception—featuring both Swedish and Irish elements.
Over the past fifty years, Ireland has evolved from one of Europe’s poorest countries, with weak growth and a shrinking population, to being considered one of the most prosperous today. Particularly over the past three decades, few countries can match Ireland’s growth. Chief Economist Sven-Olov Daunfeldt and macroeconomist Pontus Liljefors present a new report showing that Sweden can draw several important lessons from the growth-oriented policies Ireland has pursued.
The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Professor Daniel Waldenström, Professor Martin Andersson, and Christina Ramm-Ericson, Head of Economic Policy and Chief Economist at Tech Sweden. Also participating is Barbara Jones, Ireland’s Ambassador, and the discussion will be moderated by Katarina Wagman, Head of Ekonomifakta at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.
