Love at work is not uncommon and can be a real energy boost, but it can also affect colleagues and lead to suspicion, bias and favoritism. Could it be a reason to reassign or dismiss an employee?
Course description
In this course we go through situations that can arise in a workplace where welcome or unwelcome love at work has to be handled by HR, managers and employers. We will use real-life cases as a starting point and also give you suggestions on how to work preventively. In some cases, the love may not be reciprocated and may turn into unacceptable behavior or even sexual harassment. It can then be difficult to determine where the line is drawn for certain behaviors and how these must be handled based on the Discrimination Act, the Employment Protection Act (LAS) and practice.
We encourage active participation and welcome questions and concerns before the course, ssend in your question here.
Course instructors
Mia Fransson and Helené Hellström Persson, employment lawyers at Almega's expert employment law unit, have extensive experience of working with discrimination issues.
