Wage-Setting Day 2026

Pay transparency is high on the agenda. The upcoming regulations will place demands on employers. What does this mean in practice for companies that want to develop a business-oriented, individualized, and differentiated compensation system? Welcome to Compensation Policy Day 2026!

Throughout the day, we’ll explore what characterizes a strong and legitimate compensation process. We’ll draw on research, statistics, and practical experiences from companies that take a long-term approach to their compensation policies. We’ll discuss how transparency requirements affect managers’ roles and what challenges may arise when salaries are compared. Well-functioning compensation processes are crucial not only for business performance but also for talent acquisition and employees’ sense of fairness.

During the day, you'll get to enjoy, among other things:

  • An update on the pay transparency rules and what employers can do now to prepare.
  • Facts and statistics on the gender pay gap. What we actually know—and don’t know—about the causes behind it.
  • Research on what creates legitimacy in the compensation process and how the organization can strengthen the role of managers.
  • Examples from employer organizations and companies that are actively working to develop wage-setting practices.
  • Lessons learned from companies that have already begun preparing for greater transparency.
  • Perspectives on how efforts related to gender equality, workforce development, and compensation can reinforce one another.

Participants include researchers, statisticians, experts from the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, and representatives from member companies and employer organizations.
