On February 1, 2022, new rules will apply to public procurement in the so-called non-directive area, i.e. procurements that we in Sweden can regulate ourselves because they are below the EU thresholds. The new rules also apply to procurement of social services and other specific services. The intended purpose of the new rules is to simplify public procurement.

Course description

You will get this in the course:

The new rules will, among other things, allow contracting authorities to design their own procurement methods below the EU thresholds and will also introduce a specific provision on dialogue in ongoing procurement. Furthermore, new rules and thresholds for direct awards will be introduced. There will also be the possibility of direct award in connection with review procedures.

During the course, the new legal rules will be presented, discussed and analyzed together with Attorney Anna Ulfsdotter Forssell, the government's special investigator who presented the legislative proposals on which the new rules are based.
