People in tech - physical meeting in Stockholm

date

Location

Welcome to a new People in tech meeting on Thursday, May 30, 08.30-09.30, where we will discuss the new report Young women and tech 2024.

A new report shows that there has been little change in the number of women working in tech in recent years, and that interest in tech has even declined among younger women. However, 91% see tech as a future industry that solves many major societal challenges.

The survey is based on interviews with women in Sweden aged between 16 and 30. This year's survey, produced by Insight Intelligence together with Tietoevry, Handelsbanken, QRIOS and Bredband2, shows that the proportion of women working in IT/tech has not changed over the past decade. Only six percent say they work in IT/tech today, compared to four percent in 2015. The proportion who say they are studying IT/tech (5%) has also not changed significantly over the past ten years.

Anna Gulliksen, Global Head of Talent Acquisition and Employer Brand at Tietoevry, takes a look at the report and invites us to discuss how we as an industry can create the right conditions for young women to choose the tech industry. As usual, TechSverige's head of negotiations, Einar Humlin, will reflect on the subject from a labor law perspective.

We conduct this meeting physically on site in Näringslivets Hus and of course there is also the opportunity to participate digitally. You choose in the registration whether you participate physically or digitally.

Address: Näringslivets Hus, Storgatan 19

We hope that you are willing and able to dedicate time and develop together with us in the network!
