In this training we go through the responsibilities of the employer and the employee in the process of sick leave, work adaptation and the role and importance of the medical certificate. As an employer, you have no rehabilitation responsibility, but it is an important role in the employee's rehabilitation - we explain.

Course description

Anders Karlsson, expert in work environment and health issues, will guide you through what you as a manager can demand from both doctors and employees. We will also bust a few myths about what "we are entitled to".

During the day, we will go through issues such as sick leave, how far your personnel responsibility extends in relation to adapting work and what obligation the employee has to actively contribute to their own return to work. We will also discuss the importance of a clear policy and equal treatment, what you do when a medical certificate does not say anything about the employee's work ability and what responsibility you as a manager have for what happens outside the workplace / working hours.

At the end of the day, time is set aside for those who wish to discuss individual cases and participate in a discussion with Almega's expert and other participants. During this point, there is a duty of confidentiality and any examples raised must be de-identified.

Target group
The training is primarily aimed at managers with personnel responsibility and in HR positions. Primary care, occupational health or rehabilitation professionals can also benefit from the training as important actors in the sick leave and rehabilitation process.
