The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise invites you to a seminar followed by lunch on November 28.

On November 19, the European Commission will present regulatory simplification measures on data use, AI and cybersecurity. Report after report has found that the EU's digital economy is being slowed down by the regulatory burden created by new, extensive and partly overlapping regulations. By 2030, regulatory burdens are to be reduced by 35% for SMEs. The GDPR is considered particularly growth-inhibiting, while being a key regulation for digitalization, AI development and use.

This seminar will therefore focus on why companies feel that data protection has become disproportionately burdensome and inhibits innovation. But also on how the GDPR can be amended to reduce documentation requirements and strengthen preventive privacy protection, competitiveness and AI development.

The talks and presentations are intended to provide input to the government ahead of upcoming EU negotiations on the digital simplification package.
