Police access to information on certain cyber incidents (DS 2016-22)

IT&Telecom companies have been offered the opportunity to submit comments.

According to Section 20 of the Ordinance (2015:1052) on Crisis Preparedness and the Measures of Authorities Responsible for Guarding at High Readiness, government agencies must promptly report certain IT incidents that have occurred in the agency's information system to the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB).

The memorandum proposes that MSB should be obliged to provide information about such reported cyber incidents to the Swedish Police Authority if there is reason to assume that the incident is based on a criminal act.
