IT&Telecom companies have submitted an opinion on the European Commission's proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council, COM (2015) 627 final.

IT&Telecom companies support both the proposal for cross-border portability and the European Commission's general reform ambitions for European copyright in the Digital Single Market Strategy.

The aim of the proposal is to ensure the possibility for a consumer who has purchased or subscribed to an online content service to take the service with them across borders (so-called cross-border portability) when traveling within the EU.
