A fully connected Sweden

Access to fast and stable broadband, including to 5G and future technologies, is a prerequisite for working, studying, communicating and socializing across the country. Business and the public sector need secure
and fast connections to run their businesses.

10. Ensure that everyone actually has access to fast and secure connectivity. Allocate sufficient funds for broadband deployment and give clear mandates to relevant authorities to actively contribute to deployment. Access to fast and secure broadband is a prerequisite for full participation in the digital society.
It is also crucial for living
and living throughout Sweden. There is a lack of resources to make
sufficient investments in the infrastructure so that
everyone throughout the country has access to fast broadband.
The targets set in the Government's broadband strategy
for 2025 are insufficient. The focus needs to be on
actual connectivity, not theoretical possibility.

11. Reclaim the position as the EU's leading mobile nation
- ensure that spectrum is put to rapid use.

Sweden needs to have an explicit ambition
to be the country in the EU with the most efficient
spectrum management. Rapid allocation and
efficient use of spectrum is a key to being
at the international forefront with the use of new
technologies, innovations and the services that come with
them. It is also crucial for all of Sweden to
have access to modern digital services. Delayed
auctions and important spectrum that is unused
or used inefficiently will mean that Sweden
will fall behind and that we will not achieve the goal
of a fully connected Sweden. A rethink
of spectrum management is needed for Sweden to
regain its position as the EU's leading mobile nation.
