The dramatic spread of the coronavirus pandemic around the world has had, and will continue to have, a major impact on society, business and the individual. Few could have predicted at the beginning of the year that 2020 would be characterized by shutdowns of societal functions, concerns for life and health, and with dramatic, negative economic effects as a result.
But it hasn't been all doom and gloom, because we know one thing for sure: if it wasn't for our world-leading tech sector, the relatively high level of digital maturity among the country's citizens, and the fact that Sweden has, after all, come a long way in its digital transformation, we would have been even weaker in this crisis we are now experiencing. In the midst of all the misery, the corona crisis has demonstrated the strength of digitization and our industry has from day one joined forces and stood ready to facilitate all parts of society, both public and private, to continue to keep important and critical operations running. That is why we took the initiative early on, in the initial stages of the crisis, to launch the industry call #vitecherupp to highlight and encourage good examples of how the use of new technologies, IT and digital services is helping to manage the ongoing crisis. We have collected these examples here.

The crisis is far from over and now it is more about finding "the new normal" in times characterized by the abnormal. As an industry, we want to continue to make it easier for society to take advantage of the opportunities offered by digitalization. We want to lead the way to the future by helping people, businesses and society to reach their full potential. We believe in the power of good examples and therefore want to continue to highlight ideas, initiatives, innovations, services and products that all have one thing in common: enabling technology and innovations.
