21 measures that would strengthen the competitiveness of digital service companies
Today, IT&Telekomföretagen within Almega launches a new report on the market conditions for digital service companies in Sweden. In the report, some 20 companies and other stakeholders have been interviewed about how they view the conditions for starting and running digital service companies in Sweden.
Examples of questions addressed in the report: Are small businesses supported by innovative business models? What opportunities does the internet provide? Is the capital available? The skills? Can we compete in a global market?
- The purpose of the report is to highlight a group of companies with great growth and export potential, but whose needs we really know little about," says report author Pär Nygårds, business policy expert at IT&Telekomföretagen.
The report focuses on five areas of importance for digital service companies. Access to capital, skills, market, content to build services from, and the importance of transparency as a driver of new innovations.
- These companies are at the crossroads of two of the most growth-driving structural change forces - digitalization and servitization. From a growth perspective, their market conditions and international competitiveness should therefore be of great interest to both parliament and government," Nygårds continues.
