Report: Future fiber investments in Sweden

The report Future fiber investments in Sweden, produced jointly by IT&Telekomföretagen, Skanova, Svenska Stadsnätsföreningen (SSNf) and Sveriges Kommuner & Landsting (SKL), shows that investments of SEK 50 billion are required if nine out of ten people are to have access to fiber to the home or business by 2020.

Future fiber investments in Sweden is produced by the auditing firm EY on behalf of IT&Telekomföretagen, Skanova, Svenska Stadsnätsföreningen and Sveriges Kommuner och Landsting, and is based on knowledge of already built infrastructure, geodata, construction and population, an investment estimate based on cost simulation, an online survey with supplementary interviews and a weighing of the results including sensitivity analysis. The company Rala Infratech has been engaged to collect the data.
