Robustness has never been more fun!
Under the motto "robustness has never been more fun", the Broadband Forum's robustness group has been working together since the fall of 2012.
First, under the leadership of Chairman Ann-Marie Fransson, it was about identifying the challenges we have to deal with in order to have robust and future-proof fiber networks in Sweden. I presented the challenges to the steering group headed by IT Minister Anna-Karin Hatt in May last year. At that time, Anne-Marie was also given the follow-up assignment by the steering group to work with the working group to present solutions, i.e. how the challenges should be addressed. This work is now in its final phase.
Robustness may not be a concept that is usually associated with fun, but for me it is now strongly linked to many things that have definitely made at least my life a little more fun. Having the opportunity to meet so many nice and competent people working with robustness in the industry has been great fun. And experiencing the trust and openness that is created between people working together has definitely been one of the most enjoyable parts of working in the Robustness Group. For me personally, it has also been great fun to go from being the working group's project manager to representing the IT&Telecom companies in the group, which I did when I moved from one side to the other in March.
The exchange that is taking place and has taken place within the framework of the Broadband Forum has, I believe, been invaluable for our industry.
There is no doubt that by working together we will definitely achieve more than if we sit separately and think. On June 11, the results of the Robustness Group will be presented at the Broadband Forum steering group meeting. I am looking forward to that. And I'm convinced - without the Broadband Forum, robustness wouldn't be as much fun!
