One step closer to robust and future-proof infrastructure

Many of us agree that there is still a lot of future-proof digital infrastructure to be built before everyone in Sweden has access to good broadband. That this infrastructure should not only be built, but also constructed in a cost-effective way and be robust is something I think is hugely important - not least to ensure that the resources invested are enough for as good broadband, to as many people, as possible. The whole of society benefits from this.

Therefore, I am very pleased that we have now had our first steering group meeting in the project that PTS runs and where we jointly - government, industry and interest organizations - will take the next step in creating better conditions for the construction of robust fiber networks.

As the robustness zealot I am - not least after the years I ran the robustness working groups within the framework of the government's Broadband Forum - I am very much looking forward to the work and have great expectations of the result.

I believe that the project has every opportunity to make a difference and will help us build the future-proof digital infrastructure that Sweden needs!
