The Advisory Board was chaired by Eva Uddén Sonnegård and consisted of Per-Arne Andersson, Mårten Blix, Jan Edling, Lena Hagman, Gunnar Karlsson and Ylva Wretås.

Society is undergoing a major transformation, driven mainly by economic globalization and technological digitalization. Physical goods are becoming digital services, digital platforms are cutting out the middlemen, and automation and robotics are making both industry and services more efficient. All this affects the labor market and one thing is clear: the future labor market will not look like it does today.
The Council has discussed and problematized the impact of digitalisation on the labour market and used a number of statements as a starting point:

  • Rapid technological developments are giving computers and robots the ability to do more and more of what people do today.
  • There are many indications that half of the jobs that exist today will disappear within 20 years, which poses major challenges for Swedish society.
  • All the factors that govern the labor market - policies, entrepreneurship, collective agreements, attitudes - should be aligned.
