Karin Schreil, Head of Sweden TietoEVRY
At TietoEVRY, we have been a reliable IT partner for the public sector and business throughout the Nordic region for more than 50 years. As a major Nordic player, it is natural for us to contribute to finding smart solutions to the difficult challenges our society faces, both in the short and long term.
What do you want to achieve?
We know that our services are already of great benefit to society as a whole, especially now that people and organizations are increasingly moving from physical to digital communication. With this initiative, we want to bring together a working group from TietoEVRY that can act more proactively to identify societal problems and challenges that have arisen in this emergency situation and help develop solutions to them. At the same time, we know that we will not be able to do this alone and we are therefore very pleased with this broad industry initiative to jointly combat the effects of the Coronavirus.
Who are you targeting with your initiative?
We have started work to investigate what skills, services and resources we can contribute to our missions for the public sector and other critical functions. In particular, we are looking at solutions for the healthcare, retail and logistics sectors that we have identified as particularly important at this time.
What do you offer?
We are mainly looking at how we can contribute with our broad expertise in AI and analytics and we have initiated contact with various authorities and companies in Sweden, Norway and Finland to assess what needs they have and what we can do to help them. This is, of course, with great respect for the extraordinary burden they have to deal with at the same time, but we want to offer our help when needed. We are working on a number of tracks that we hope to concretize shortly.
