Moa Göransdotter, Sales and Marketing Manager, Lingio
Companies are laying off thousands of employees, while secondary schools and higher education institutions have switched to distance learning.
Lingio offers digital training in professional Swedish for 26 different professions, and as social innovators we want to help both the companies that are forced to lay off their employees, and the schools that teach Swedish.
What do you want to achieve?
We want people to continue learning the Swedish language despite these uncertain times, and thereby be given better conditions in the labor market in the future. Many people will be forced to look for a new job in a new industry - and through our courses in professional Swedish, we can make it easier for those who change jobs to learn professional Swedish for their new industry.
Who are you targeting with your initiative?
In the first place. All the companies that are now forced to lay off their employees. And to schools and SFI programs in Sweden.
What specifically do you offer?
We offer dismissed employees access to digital language training free of charge.
We believe and hope that this can be a good solution both for companies that want to provide extra support to their laid-off employees, but that it will of course also benefit the individuals, and benefit the companies and industries that now need to hire. For example, in health care.
Affected companies are warmly welcome to contact us via info@lingio.com and we will help arrange language training for their employees.
