Focus on people and impact in webinar

Pär Nygårds, industrial policy expert at IT&Telecom companies, was one of the participants in Tuesday's lunch webinar Less hassle for the right skills at SUP46 in Stockholm.

The webinar, organized by IT&Telecom in cooperation with Almega and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, focused on
recruiting staff in a global arena, influencing policy and making it easier to start and grow a business in Sweden.

Carl-Johan Hamilton, CEO of Ants Tech Recruiters, Lezan Magid, labor law expert at Almega and Jens Hedström, Head of Region & Market at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise also participated. Pär Nygårds talked about IT&Telecom companies, political influence and how Sweden will become a better country to start and develop a business in.

Why should a start-up company get involved with the IT&Telecom companies?

- We want to help them gain visibility, influence policy and create cash with our 1300 member companies. To make it easy, we have developed a special "try it out" offer for startups. For SEK 1000, they get access to all our industry services for a whole year," says Nygårds.

Why is it important for IT&Telecom companies to get involved?

- We are very proud of the Swedish start-up scene. At the same time, more politicians and decision-makers need to understand how important startups and other digital companies are for growth and new jobs. The best way for us to do this is to meet with politicians together with the companies and explain why they should listen and take account. Including startups in our advocacy work is one of our greatest success factors.

What is the difference between Almega, the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise and IT&Telecom companies?

- IT&Telecom covers all industry issues related to the tech sector. We have the networks and groups interested in issues such as AI, digital infrastructure and digital skills supply. Almega are the experts on the service sector and employer advice in the service industries. The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise represents the broad business community in major issues such as tax issues, industrial and trade policy," says Nygårds.

The first ten people to register for the webinar were offered a free trial membership of IT&Telecomföretagen.
