IBM equips individuals and businesses for a new future

IBM is a global company that works to help companies and organizations develop their business through technology. In light of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the Swedish economy, IBM has looked at the possibilities of how they as an organization can help communities, businesses and individuals overcome the challenges we face.

Through the IBM Reignite initiative, they want to help individuals find new careers in the IT industry and entrepreneurs to acquire new knowledge that will allow them to continue developing their businesses.

- Ensuring that individuals and organizations have the right skills for the "new normal" is of the utmost importance to minimize the damaging effects of the corona pandemic on society and IBM Reignite aims to help do just that. "We as a society are only strong together and we all need to work together", says Evelina Pärnerud, Corporate Social Responsibility Expert at IBM.

IBM Reignite is aimed at three target groups: jobseekers and individuals in need of new skills, business owners and entrepreneurs who need to sharpen their working methods and strategies, and companies that want to partner with IBM in this initiative and in turn support individuals. It is based on a flexible approach that is adapted to the individual's or company's unique situation and needs but mainly consists of three parts that can be used individually or in combination: New skills and knowledge. Individuals can take part in training and courses on IT security, Blockchain, customer relations, web development, web design but also courses in mindfulness and resilience. New innovative ways of working. Individuals and organizations can be supported in developing new ways of working such as agile working, design thinking, virtual collaboration and different communication and presentation techniques. Business strategies: IBM experts can support entrepreneurs in developing successful strategies to address short- and long-term challenges.
