Vahid Zohali new member of the Board of Directors

Vahid Zohali succeeded Johan Rittner as Head of Sweden at IBM Sweden in October 2020. Since the annual meeting in May, he has also taken over Johan Rittner's seat on the board of IT&Telekomföretagen. 

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

- I have worked in the IT industry for a long time and had the privilege of leading organizations and teams in fantastic companies such as CGI, Tieto and DXC Technology, and since last autumn as CEO of IBM in Sweden. Leadership issues, CSR and creating inclusive conditions for change are close to my heart.

What are you most looking forward to in your work as a member of the Board?

- Being able to participate and contribute to the important work being done. Especially in this time when the tech sector is becoming increasingly important and has the opportunity to contribute to a better, more sustainable society and where we see that Sweden has fantastic opportunities to take a leading role.

What do you feel you can contribute to the Board?

- With insights and inspiration, not least from my experience of building and developing businesses with a focus on digitalization in a wide range of industries, such as Financial Services, Telecom, Energy, Manufacturing and Healthcare.

What issues do you think are most important for IT&Telecom companies to pursue?

- The opportunities of digitalization, driving issues so that Sweden can seize the opportunity we now have to take leading positions and drive sustainable development. Linked to this, issues such as diversity and leadership, which I see as central to driving this forward.
