TechSverige's Chairman Per Wallentin new member of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise's Board of Directors
The Executive Committee is appointed by the General Assembly of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise and consists, in addition to the Chairman of the Board, the Chairman of the SME Committee and the CEO, of a maximum of 12 members from the Board of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise. When electing the Executive Committee, the structure of the association and the sectoral composition of the association's members shall be taken into account.

The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise fulfills a large and important function when it comes to working for a better business climate, creating the best possible conditions for successful companies and for securing jobs in Sweden, says Per Wallentin, Chairman of the Board TechSverige and CEO Knowit.
- In Sweden, 80% of all new companies are service companies and the private service sector accounts for half of Sweden's GDP. In addition, three out of four Swedes work in some form of service production. With the major sustainability transition ahead of us, both the tech and service sectors will play a crucial role. Being able to represent these two sectors in the work of the Executive Board therefore feels both important and urgent," concludes Per Wallentin.

The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise has two boards with shared responsibilities: the Board of Directors and the Executive Board. The Board focuses on long-term strategies and directional decisions, and monitors that the Executive Board and the CEO perform their duties in accordance with the statutes. The Executive Board takes decisions on operational matters, such as the annual budget and business plan, and is responsible for monitoring the work of the association on an ongoing basis. The Executive Committee also has a clear responsibility for cooperation and decisions on employer issues.
