"We are well placed to take the next step"

The theme was the Nordic way when TechSverige's chairman of the board, Knowit's CEO Per Wallentin, participated in a panel discussion at TechArenan in Stockholm.

Under the heading Doing it the Nordic way: Business, economics & transformation, Per Wallentin was joined by Nordea's Chief Economist Annika Winsth, Bob Thomas, partner at Oxx, and Telenor's CEO Jonas Edén.

The discussion highlighted the conditions in Sweden and the Nordic region, where the well-educated population is a clear strength. The trust and transparency that are part of our culture are important prerequisites for innovation and continued growth. The Nordic region has a strong foundation to stand on, but our economy is small in this context and makes us dependent on resilient cooperation.

- We as an industry are well placed to take the next step and it is exciting with the opportunities that digital development brings. In these times, it is particularly important to keep the focus on sustainability and inclusion, said Per Wallentin after the conversation.

The panel focused on healthtech, green technology and investments in the public sector as important trends going forward. Per Wallentin highlighted simpler rules within the EU as a priority issue for TechSverige to remain competitive in a global perspective.

In conclusion, the panel agreed that "Doing it in the Nordic way, in a sustainable way" is a winning concept.
