"If we in the industry work together more, we will have better conditions."
As a government-approved e-ID and one of the few solutions for international digital identification, Freja eID is an important player in Sweden's digital infrastructure. For Kristofer Von Beetzen, Chief Product Officer at Freja, membership in TechSverige is an important forum that makes it possible to influence the development of the industry and offer secure conditions through collective agreements.
Freja eID is a Swedish SaaS company that develops solutions for secure digital identification. As a government-approved e-ID, the service can be used by both private individuals and businesses, and also enables the identification of individuals from 170 countries. The company currently has around 30 employees, 1.5 million users, and nearly 500 subscription customers.
Kristofer Von Beetzen, Chief Product Officer and Head of Communications and IR, highlights the industry community and collective agreements as important reasons why Freja chose to join TechSverige.
– We wanted to be part of an industry and employer organization with all that that entails, but also be able to offer our employees collective agreements. At the same time, we saw the value in being able to work with other tech companies to drive issues that are crucial to the industry.
Kristofer describes Freja's experiences of membership as very positive. He particularly highlights the opportunity to influence issues that are important for the development of the industry.
Membership has given us the opportunity to contribute input to legislation affecting our field and to express our views on various regulations that are important to our industry. When we as members contribute jointly to consultation work, our views carry much more weight. The more companies that support us, the greater the opportunity to influence legislation and regulations that shape our long-term conditions.
One concrete benefit of Freja membership that Kristofer highlights is participation in TechSweden's networking events.
– They are rewarding both from a knowledge perspective and in terms of meeting others in the industry. Exchanging experiences and perspectives is valuable. By sharing experiences and perspectives, we can learn from each other and find common solutions to common challenges.
Kristofer also describes the opportunity to collaborate with others in the industry as the main reason why tech companies should be members of TechSverige.
– Sweden is at the forefront in many areas of technology, and we have even more potential to tap into. If we in the industry collaborate more, we will create better conditions for Swedish tech companies to succeed globally and strengthen Sweden's position as a world leader in tech and innovation.
