Debate: Västernorrland could become an important tech region – if we dare to invest

Sundsvall has emerged as a hub for digital development, with many of the region's tech companies and jobs. The city is a strong center for IT consulting, driven by demand from large government agencies and companies in the banking and forestry industries.Västernorrland has goodconditions for taking a clearer position as a tech region, but at the same time, regional tech development cannot be taken for granted. In recent years, employment and growth contributions have been weaker. 

In an opinion piece in Sundsvalls Tidning, JennyMoberg, labor law expertand regional manager for northern Sweden at TechSverige, and Lars Persson Skandevall, CEO ofBron Innovation, highlight four focus areas for strengthening the region's role as an attractive tech hub.
